Get AB800's over the 1600's. The flash duration at full power is faster with the 800's and much, much faster when you set the AB1600's at 1/2 power to match the AB800's recycle time. Most people that get the 1600's end up shooting them at half power because of recycle times anyways and then you end with the same power as the 800's with a much longer flash duration.

I agree B800s over the 1600s.

Also, have you considered getting Cybersyncs instead of Pocketwizards? They are more than sufficient for basketball use and are much cheaper. You also get a nice discount from AB when you buy them with lights.

OP- do some research in this section and do some reading on what you REALLY need.
