Thanks Tony! It was quite the whirlwind trip. We left Friday night at 6pm, drove 12 hours - got there in the morning - slept for a couple of hours, got up, scouted the place and then shot continuously all night Sat, leaving at 9am on Sun and driving 12 hours back to Dallas. I'm T I R E D!

Here's something a little different:

Wow, Todd!

That is different -- what was the technique there? I'm not a star-trails shooter...

Tony, this was 316 shots that were stacked together in StarStax and then layered over a static shot. Each shot was 25 seconds, so in totality, it took the better part of the late evening to get these. I actually captured this with the intent of using it for time-lapse (which I'll also do) but decided to stack them to see how it would turn out.

Since these were stacks from the time-lapse, I cropped at 16:9, but they're from full RAW files so I have the upper part that contains the top of the Polaris circle, so I'll probably re-do this including that portion as well. This was sort of a quick proof of concept.

Anyways, thanks everyone for the comments - Thanks Ras, that's awfully kind of you. :o

Very cool, Todd -- your dedication is inspiring! My motivation is lacking, but that's another story:)!
