Ping Tom Park / 18th Street Bridge / Chinatown Chicago - 11 June 2014 - I was really lucky to catch the water completely still, tough to do for this area since the water taxi is a frequent visitor. This only lasted a few minutes, once the taxi arrived the waters stayed in motion.

Great shot Mike. What do you mean "300 photos went into this one"?

Thanks guys!

300 shots, it's tricky to explain: 300 shots condensed into 6 shots via stacking, the 6 shots are progresses of the sunset until dark. So 1 stack of 50 shots to create each of those, then blend the 6final shots together? Make sense? :)

Beautiful image Nchant. Really like it.

How did you do the horizontal blend from light to each next darker section

trollins - the initial images were stacked to create 6 different images from day to night, then blended in photoshop with masks :)

What software did you use for stacking, or were you able to do it all in PS

Lots of work, but the finished product is **beautiful** Nchant

Thanks! I used Starstax for stacking, then blended in Photoshop :)

Another TS effect :) multiple shots with different aperture and focus settings, essentially a 24mm ƒ1.4 TS lens :P

Went shooting last night. This old church is in the middle of nowhere KS. The plan was star trails but a front blew in right at sunset, so, if you get lemons, make some lemonade.

Hope you enjoy.

Edit - Fixed picture size. Thanks Tony for the tip
