Night time, the right time...post your late hours photos here.

1) Plaza de Armas, Qosqo, Perú ("Qosqo" = in "quechua" means "naval of the universe"), 11,152 feet above sea level (3,399m) taken with my first digital camera, a Canon Rebel. (hand held, late evening, about 41°F [5°C])…..It was the night of my birthday.

2) A street in "el Casco Histórico" (historic district) of Toledo, España. (rat's eye view)

Although I prefer moonless nights, I must concede that the light from the moon does a pretty fine job masking the light pollution that plagues our landscapes. Another interesting effect caused by the moon is the contrast between the cold light of our natural satellite and the warm light of public lighting, in the clouds.

Cheers Annie. It was a case of leave the festivities and sherbets, dash up the road, get the shots in, dash home, quick review, pick a couple and process them and post them up, all in the interests of being hot off the press... and the haste and sherbet got the better of my processing powers and I made a dog's breakfast of it - particularly wrt the white balance.

In the sobriety of day, here's a better attempt at them...
