loved these last 3, Todd!
Thank you sir! I'm jealous of your snow shots! We got snow 4 times last year, and I loved it.
(it's probably different, when living in it constantly though, I'm sure!)

It almost gives it a "tilt-shift" kind of look, which makes the scene look 'fake'. I think usually, one would not take a photo of such a scene like that, at f/1.6. Would probably be around 4.0 or 5.0 or something. It was handheld at night at ISO 100, and I had just got my 50mm 1.4, so I was playing around with it. thenextguy wrote in post #11506608 Thanks Todd. It does look fake, but it's real! Normally when I do night shooting I always aim for moonless nights, but I'm starting to discover how cool moonlight shots can be, too. I think digital cameras do have a tendency to make 'fake' looking photos. I've noticed this before with the 5D as well, on other shots. There is a kind of 'plasticity' in some shots that looks synthetic. It may also just have to do with being displayed on a computer screen, rather than a printed photo. Printing it may make it look more realistic. IVOlution wrote in post #11507090 Srika man, what is going on in the right corner/side where the building meets the sky? Look like something was cloned out...donno. Yeah I did some cloning to recover empty areas. Todd Lambert wrote in post #11508250 Thank you sir! I'm jealous of your snow shots!
