Went down to Newhaven harbour for the sunrise, but the clouds rolled in. Waited for a while then the sun started to pop through. Shot with 50d+17-40L fitted with grad. n/d filter, then conv. to B/W. C+C welcome.

The compsition are good Paul. The only thing is the blacks are too black. If you can lift some of the blacks to get some detail it would look alot better. To me, it just looks dark.

Do you have a coloured version? It may be better then the B&W for this shot.

It has an interesting almost foreboding look ( I like it) , like beginning of a Stephen King movie - I'd like to see the colour version as well.

Personally? I find the image a bit too dark and I don't find the subject to be much of interest, perhaps because things are lost in the darkness of the image. Perhaps a color version would be more suited for this?

As I like B&W, I really like the B&W versions. Very moody clouds.
I love clouds too :-). The sky would be boring without them!
