Rather than hijack motoyen's thread following his visit to Lamborghini, here are a few shots from inside the actual factory that we were priveliged to be shown round last year. Quite a place if you like Lambo's :)

1. The Gallardo Line

How were you able to take photos? We had to lock our cameras up in their lockers on my tour.

It was not a tour - we were there for an article. However, there were still certain places we could not go as they were working on a new project.

Man, wonder what it would be at cost to get one of those? $40k -$60k maybe?

I've always wondered what kind of markup is involved. Imagine if they told you that as a special offer(because you're such a nice guy and you're giving them the RAW files of your photos ;-)a ) you can drive one of these puppies out the door for just the material costs...

Hey, a guy can dream, right? ;-)a

Great photos Jonathan!

Not as handmade as I had imagined. I never dreamed there was an assembly line for Lamborghinis. My vision was a 5 or 6 man crew hand building each and every one of them. Oh well there is always Ferrari :p

The "assembly line" just moves the shell around for the different teams to install or build their bit. No robot in this place :)
