Lighting works, pose seems natural enough, skin doesn't look overprocessed. Not 100% sure if I like the bars in the background. WB looks warm to me, maybe just personal preference. Model seems to be leaning her head forward a bit, which gives you a good angle on the face, but a bit unflattering on the chin.

Warmer colour seems to work better =D [gear][recent work

It's quite a tall image, combined with a downward angle on the subject and the converging lines in the background, it looks a bit "cramped" to me somehow. 5D and too much glass. Mamiya 645E.

Feb 24, 2010 14:02 | #7 Thanks for the comments guys. And yes Tony, looking back at it, I think I over did it on the skin softening, and that was part of why I wanted to post it up this way. She liked it, and so did her mother....and it seems the trend now is to do quite a lot of skin smoothing. I printed some out from this shoot, and the above amount of skin smoothing is definitely too much at print ( IMO )....but again, she liked it. I did see that the smoothing effect was greater on the print than it appears on the monitor, so I learned I have to back it off some more on a file going to print. It's all so subjective. regards, george w
