Good for you but the ultimate testament of your "cycling greatness" is whether or not you race bike and how many times you place? And at what race category?

I'm not a racer, those fellas are on a completely different level. I have done triathlons in the Sprint/Olympic flavor and I'm with Ainoko... stuck it out till the end. Cycling greatness for fixie hipsters is riding around town without brakes and claiming its safe. ;)

Trackstanding with a fixie.. not that difficult..
Trackstanding with a pineapple.. priceless!

Fixies aren't new, but seriously..I'm digging the carbon wheels on that bike!

I ride to work 1 or 2 days a week; 17 miles each way. Fixies are rare in San Diego unless you're @ the velodrome.
Nice to see I'm not the only one with a bottle of simple green seemingly next to my bike :)

I started out on a fixie and learned to track stand on it. It really is not difficult once you learn it. I then switched to a road bike, and was able to track stand that as long as I had the front wheel pointed up some sort of incline. Fixies have exploded here, especially on campus. When I started, there was maybe a dozen or so guys, now it seems that there is a fixie parked at every coffee shop and bar around town!

And Simple Green is essential. That and gojo for my hands! That stuff works great on grease.

Very sick. I love riding my fixie and it's the perfect campus commuter.
