Playing with light

I took a few photos today of a snowdrop, and used a desklamp to change the angle of the light each time.

I was trying to find a decent composition for the shadow behind the flower and couldn't decide if one, or indeed any of them, worked as an image.

It was purely for experimentation, nothing especially serious, but these are the finished results, with different processing on them.

The first one for me, I find the shadow compliments the snowdrop, whereas in the second I find it a distraction - same with 3.

I agree.

Thank you both, that seems to be the opinion of others too (though some like #3).
