I am working on putting together a custom collage for the girls soccer team my daughter plays on. This is one of the shots my daughter wanted. She wanted to show a little attitude. I think she pulls it off. I didn't want her head tilted down that much, but I think it works.

It would work well for basketball if she could palm a basketball ;) I think because it's soccer it looks a tiny bit out of place having the ball in her hand? Maybe if she had a foot on it? Remember that it's only an opinion from me. The expression does work of course.

Funny how you had the one I mentioned already :D The second two seem like the uniform is a different shade of green than the top one.

Nice, clean expsoures but I think you would have garnered even more "attitude" had you shot them from an even lower angle.

Nothing says "In Your Face" quite like having to look up at the subject.

I have several, but didn't work on most. We're getting our 3 year old's b-day invites ready, too. She's a goalie and have some in her goalie gear, too.

This was my second time working w/ high-key white background. These shots were more for me to learn to shoot better than anything else, really. I learned quite a bit, though.

Thanks, Jay. I'll remember that next time. I was actually on my knees shooting these. She's 10 and almost 5' tall already. She's one helluva goalie.

Once your neck of the woods thaws out, take her out to a soccer goal and force the perspective to where her "wingspan" covers the entire width of the goal (and shoot her from the prone position!)

That would make a great youth soccer poster! :D

Nice! I'll have to do that. That is if we ever thaw out. Calling for another 1-3" of snow this weekend.

This +1!

And maybe (similar to the 2nd to last one) with a foot on the ball and one hand on the hip. . . . shot from a very low angle and maybe a wider angle lens. JMHO.

Might also want to try a few with a dark background. Did some a couple of years ago with a light uniform against a black background, shooting from slightly below, and the player liked them. Could only find one low res example but it gives the general idea.
