Clearly a case of Japanese camera makers in collusion with Japanese automakers.

I needed a good laugh.
You guys are just way too funny.
I hadn't thought of either of those reasons.

It was actually user error.

This opens up a whole new can of worms--MKIV vs Noik for tracking low light crashes ;)

Lol. I was JUST on the web window shopping online. Broadway Camera for one is REALLY expensive. The lens I mentioned above is a full $250 more expensive (taxes included) then what I'd be paying if I was to buy the Identical lens in downtown Calgary. (Saneal) Yikes.

Not sure about epic moments but I definitely miss some good ones. I saw this grandmother and grandson and wanted a nice spectator composition so I blasted off about 10 exposures as various racers came by. Didn't get one that was decent!

I would LOVE a chance to get down that way and shoot some horses and wild stallions, etc. Before they're gone. :(

Here's that Eagle shot I mentioned in the original post. I'm really not happy with it, but, I did the best I could given the time, the gear and the conditions. It's about 60% cropped, as I was REALLY far away, and it was a non IS hand held. :(

You're crazy. If I had taken this shot, I would be thrilled. I think it's great for being completely unprepared.

Everytime I shoot a Toyota the shutter speed gets faster and faster with each shot, all by itself . . .

For some reason, I took a shot on One shot but the shutter just kept on going and going and going and going..........

Mine was back in '86. I was on my lunch break and was on top of the roof of the warehouse that I worked, all set to take some photos of the space shuttle Challenger lift off. Watching it through my viewfinder when I saw it split into different smoke trails. I sat there too dumbfounded and shocked to even take the photo. I stood there staring for a good while before I realized that I didn't even take the shot.
