I swear the uk is going backwards.

big brother is getting bad, totally OT but on the big brother subject, not sure if it passed but they want to make it if you home school they can show up at your door, enter and interview your kids without you there. Now I hope it never gets passed but I was shocked not more people were outraged!

Many still think big brother is a good thing in the UK. The USA? Not so much I can tell ya

Another 'stop and search' under Terrorism Act happened near Oxford.
A 59 year old ex-Royal Air Force engineer was stopped and searched for taking photos of Policemen in the center of his village.

Full story is here http://www.oxfordmail.co.uk …_engineer_in__Kidlington/ (external link)

Count yourself lucky. I find it is more annoying than embarrasing.

You should be ok. They will pretty much pick up on the accent and ease off for some reason. I can't see them bothering you but don't quote me on that.

I can see it now. News of mass arrest of suspected terrorists filming buildings in groups.
SAD.

Didn't the terrorists use a cell phone to set off the bomb? Maybe those using cell phones should be searched and detained for suspicious behavior.

Interesting videos for sure. I would say if I was not from the country even as a student I would carry my visa and passport. I do understand how this is getting enforced at quite the wrong level. It's one thing to ask and check but in all honestly is this how a terrorist would video tape? Honestly, if you were wanting to videotape without bringing any attention there are a multitude of cameras that can be concealed without bringing any attention to yourself.

As far as this being enforced in the U.S. if the police used excessive force you know there would be someone who would turn around an file a lawsuit.
