I know that HDR is not for everyone and, like wine, everyone has opinions on what they like and don't. The lighting for these shots couldn't be passed up. All shots were hand held (and it shows) so they didn't lineup quite as well as I had hoped. I haven't redone the one with the "Photomatix" watermark, but I do have the full program.

Let me know what you think, all C&C is welcomed! :D

1 - the "Photomatix" watermark

2 - a line to "infinity"

3 - a slightly different view

I had a blast taking these shots and learned a lot about how this process works. Details about these shots can be found in this Flickr (external link) set.

Thanks for lookin!

I think they look great.

But one of them has a huge sign in the sky that says Photomatix. ;)

Oddly enough, I love roller coasters but am afraid of ferris wheels. Go figure. I'll ride them if others want me to go, but they frighten me. There's one at Disneyland in California (California Adventures) that really freaks me out.

Thank you. bw!

Nice work for your first go around. The sky looks to have some noise that your can easily fix, the angles evoke too much tension for me, but the first one is great.

Overall, they don't look too overprocessed for my tastes but you are getting a tad bit of haloing. I'm not a huge fan of the angles though.

Thanks everyone for their input! I wasn't really sure on how to shot the Eye and I only had minutes to shoot with the light the way it was. I'll mind my angles and try to reduce the haloing in future endeavors.

I love how they look, I think you did a very good job. I don't like the angles though.
