However, they live in an area very close to the house of a local photographer and they've become habituated to people being inside his house. As long as you photograph from inside the house, through an open window, they don't get spooked. Open the door or walk around outside though, and they bolt. They hang around the front windows a lot because the guy has a bird feeder that attracts squirrels, and the martens like to eat the squirrels. My pics:
