Hi guys,
This is a road racing event that happens here in New Zealand in a town called Paeroa.
The Highway runs through the town and they close it for 12hrs just for this road race.
You can stand within 1ft from the track in some parts as these guys fly past. They get up to around 280Km/Hr on the main straight.
It's a great day out.
Cheers for looking
Blair

Thanks guys, I left the images a bit wider to show how close you can get to the action.
#4 Is my favorite, I was stoked when I got home and saw it on my monitor.
Still getting used to DSLR, I was shooting on Tv mode. I was happy with the amount of keepers I took.
I've uploaded my favorites to my flickr.

Cheers. The Isle of Man is insane, one day I will come up there and check it out in person.

I couldn't find Bruce Anstey in the program, so I'm not sure.

Thanks for looking.

I absolutely LOVE #4.

I'm so glad you chose to get low to take that photo. While it does not show speed, the tilt of the rider gives it away.
Good colors too.

Cheers! It's mine too, currently as my wallpaper. These guys were scraping the kerb with their sliders. Insane stuff!
