how are these techniques done? I can't google anything about these lense...anyone have any idea how I can shoot these kind of photos?

what kind of lens should I buy to get these kind of pictures? I have a canon 50d, thanks.

I saw this setup at a local beach; but can't find the pic.
the setup is:
a UV filter.
Glued to it is a "stick" about 4" long.
Glued to the other end of the stick is a convex mirror

It looks like this:

It sounds weird.. but I had to go ask the guy what the pix looked like because it looked so wacky
