Taken at a recent Peace Corps Going Away event in harsh light, midday, but I think the black & white works well in those conditions sometimes.

“Look at this sunset, it’s beautiful, neh? This sunset exists. Tomorrow does not exist. There is only now. Please look. It is so beautiful and it will never happen ever again, never, not this sunset, never in all infinity.”

My welcome thought is that your new sky makes a busy background that drains attention away from the truck–and the truck is still not in clear focus. So I prefer the Before.

PRONOUN ADVISORY: OhLook is a she. | A FEW CORRECT SPELLINGS: lens, aperture, amateur, hobbyist, per se, raccoon, whoa | Comments welcome

Always love old car shots. Well done. To add focus, and a bit of mystery, I like to add starbursts to the headlights. Puts the focus back to the vehicle.

Okay, So I actually went back to check my original photo, and although it's not super tack sharp, it's a lot sharper than what is posted here. Does anyone else have this issue? Am I saving them incorrectly? I'm not doing anything than I ever have...

Here's another shot in this same thread. The inside of the flower isn't sharp at all here, but my original is.

Yes. All my images on POTN are fuzzier than they were before reduction. With the help of input from others here, I learned that the more you reduce the size, the more sharpness you lose, and it's best to sharpen after reduction so that the final sharpness will be appropriate for that size.

Your truck photo is only 800 px wide, which means that you probably shrank it a lot.

That's very curious. Thank you for the reply. I'm going to have to pay closer attention to this. Thanks again.
