I dunno is it only mine or the color just shifts after some time. I have a lightsphere II cloud, it used to be whitish cloudy but after a few years, it turns yellowish, greenish.

Comparing the dome that comes with it, both of the white used to be the same. And my stofen was bought before my LS2 cloud but it also remain white even though the material is different.

I haven't tested whether does it have any effect on the subjects or not. Any 1 had similar experience? Now I'm thinking should I get the new collapsible or not. I dunno what color will it shift again after a few years of use.

When I want REALLY green WB, I find that shooting my 580exII into a green balloon really works... For about 2 shots... then the balloon breaks.

Seriously though... You could use a custom WB setting... but if you're mixing light with ambient that could be a problem.

that plastic material look very normal to me when I first got it. I thought material used for photography should be carefully picked hence I thought I could be thinking too much as I'm not an expert in this field. The LS costs more than my other flash diffusers so I don't think I'm trying to save up to get a cheap product. In fact I thought they do better than my stofen which is why I bought it.

Anyway, I use the LS2 mainly for indoor shots and I kept all my LS stuffs in dark area and not exposed under any sort of light. But I find my travel photos having more stofen on my flash than LS unless I noe LS do better in that area. My stofen remains this tone of white since the day I bought them as you can see from the photo.

I know I can do some color correction on PS but I shoot more slides and flims than digital so even if its very minor, I still can't do adjustment on them unless I scan them out and do digital processing.

Anyone else have a similar encounter or its just my copy?

Ask him to replace it, free! If Gary won't stand behind his product and simply replace that thing at no cost to you (and very little cost to him), no harm done at all, since is a product of value in limited situations anyway.
