You misspelled the name of the fish. Break it into pieces that repeat. Say it with me:
Humu-humu-nuku-nuku-a-pua-a.

:D Looks like you had a great time. Did you dive anywhere else besides Hanauma? I think the first turtle shot, the fish, and the eel are the best.

Keep up the good work.

John

Awesome!!!! I'm headed to Turks Caicos next week and want to get similar pictures. What were you using for an underwater case? Are you an experienced underwater photographer?

Very nice shots. I really like the breaking wave in #2 and just the perspective of that one in general.

No matter how much I tried to say it, I failed epically; however, you made it slightly easier with the break-ups.

I wanted to dive electric beach but when I got to that side of the island the waves were too choppy for my son and my wife won't allow me to go solo.

All photos were with the G11 and Canon's WP-DC34 case. Those two items were my 09 xmas gift and this was my first time shooting underwater so I'm far from experienced but happy with the results. Have fun on your trip!

The first few shots are fantastic! The breaking wave on the sand is really nice - something you rarely see, at least from that vantage point.

It took me about 6 months to figure out how to pronounce things properly. It's all about breaking the words down by consonants, dipthongs, and okinas. That's all :P

Electric Beach is really nice, but this time of year there is way too much NW swell. That coastline nearby is great for snorkeling/diving. Guess you'll just have to make a summer trip.

Hanauma bay is such a cool place, I really like all the underwater shots you took, I wasn't able to get any like that when I was there.
