I`m about to pull the trigger.....

Currently, I only have a Sigma 30mm and still looking for a quality body (I just sold my XSi).

Should I pull the trigger on:

1) 7D body (Will end up with one lens Sigma 30mm)

2) 50D body with Canon or Sigma 85mm prime (+ my old Sigma 30mm)

3) Forget about it and gamble my money. LOL!

I really like to have a Micro adjust feature on the body.

30mm on crop is wide enough for me...

I wish Canon announce if the 60D is coming out! :-(

What is your photography style?

-What was wrong with the XSi, as in what did it leave you wanting?

I love that Sigma lens a lot! and my XSi doesn`t seem to zero in a good focus most of the
time. The Sigma 30mm I have doesn`t have front or back focusing issue, but the XSi AF seems to be a hit and missed, even using just the center focus one. It`s not that accurate for my taste.

My photo style.

Landscape/Urban photo 50% ,
Indoor 25% w/ shallow DOF ,
My son`s Taekwondo session 25% .

I would forget the micro-adjust feature and purchase a re-furb 40d if you can find one. A perfect compromise with money left over for glass!

Dbrun brings up a good point as I moved from my XSi to a 40D a little over a year ago and love the body. If you do not find a refurb or used 40D then go with the 7D.
