When I search google for 'aepoc' or 'aepoc.com' it comes up with aepoc.com with the following description:

"Alternative, electronic, and industrial music. Contains pictures, MP3s, biography, press, and contact information."

That was the information I used when my domain, aepoc.com, was used for my band. This is no longer wanted, as I use the domain for photography now. When I search google for 'aepoc photography' it lists aepoc.com in the first few results, with my NEW description of:

"AEPOC photography, by Jason Kessenich"

Searching bing.com for 'aepoc' yields the music description, while searching bing.com for 'aepoc.com' yields the photography description.

None of this makes any sense to me. Anyone have any ideas on this?

wow...

ummm, it has to do with the google spiders crawling your website and i guess for aepoc.com it hasnt been crawled in a while.

You can try submitting your site to google.com

You can also look up website crawling for more tips... maybe add a robots.txt file and add a sitemaps....

its simple webmaster stuff....
if you sign up for googles webmaster stuff, you can get it to help with seo on your site a little better.

the more popular a website is, the more often the "spiders" crawl the website and update it.

eventually it will all move over to the newer one... but there are small things you can do to help it crawl faster. Submitting a website to the different search engines will help and update the crawling.

Definitely check your meatfile data as DarkKnight369 suggests. Also realize it takes a while for the search engines to update. And it could be longer before your old site information disappears. They may not be looking for photos when they click on the old data but it's bringing them to your site anyways. Maybe they'll stay and browse before moving on.
