Hi,

I am thinking of added a 2nd flash to my setup. Before I do, how do I get the slave flash to fire if it's not connected to the hotshoe or sycn-cord?

I currently have a 430ex and was thinking of getting a second 430ex or 580

Is there a transmitter/receiver system I need to get as well?

Thanks

Justin

Thanks -
Justin

If you get the 580 then you can fire the 580(master) on camera and trigger the 430(slave) off camera without buying a transmitter/receiver system.

do you have stands and modifiers? Canon flashes are great but if you are going to trigger off camera get some triggers/receivers, especially if you do anything out doors.

SOunds like my best option is to just get a 580 vs spending the $$$ on a trigger/receiver system on top of the cost of a 430.
