Anyone ever photographed an event like this?

I'm attending a workshop on Sunday with this as the main subject so yeah, we'll learn as we go but any tips, hints, suggestions, things to look for, things to avoid?

Just attempting to bridge the knowledge gap...

Don't stand behind the target even though they commonly use squibs.

Obviously, Important Safety Tip #1... :lol:

We're actually having an orientation meeting tonight before the shoot on Sunday. One of the gentleman wrangling us is also a member of the society holding the meet so I'm sure we'll get the lowdown on how to stay safe.
