I'll bite.
So, how do you get your 3,5 or 7 photos to line up?

I can see doing a pseudo-HDR. However, a true HDr would look horrible w/o a tripod!

At first I used a tripod, but after the first few, I just took the bracketed shots handheld. Pretty well all my HDRs on my flickr are handheld. I find that at websize, there is not noticeable movement. Although, I am more lenient than some when it comes to soft images.

I try to, but with 8fps available, I don't always. If I want it right, always.

Thanks! I like your power line shots. I work for a transmission company right now. Very nice pictures.

If I'm doing a "true HDR", yes. I've tried using a burst mode but it still just doesn't line up right.

But there are times when a tripod just isn't possible - like when I'm travelling - so I have done plenty of single-shot HDRs too.

Prety much handheld, I will use what ever is available if I notice the shutter speed is going to be too slow on the over-exposure shot. Or I will simply use the normal exposure raw and bump up the exposure +2 and save it as a tiff if it is too blury.

When it ceases to be fun, it will be time to walk away

No, I don't, but I prefer to use a tripod. In this shot, I didn't have my tripod with me and was standing on the balcony of a hotel in Marco Island, Florida. I took three shots (left, center and right) with three high-speed, bracketed exposures in each shot. This was the result...

I hardly ever use a tripod, although I probably should.

I'm a lazy photographer.

Thank you. bw!

I will shoot either way, for some of my fire shots I have no choice but to work them from a single shot, fot most of my other work I try to use the tripod.....
