I live 2 miles from the arena but have not tried to get my camera gear in for a game. Their website says "No professional equipment" so I thought they would stop me. I assume you took these with your 70-200 so they must not be enforcing this rule yet. I have been shooting pictures for the Jr Mavericks. In fact the season ending tournament is tomorrow and Sunday so I will be at the arena most of the weekend.

Well yes they are enforcing the rule. How ever I have been shooting the games and hoping to get a position with the mavericks. I am not sure how that will work out but I will know sometime in April i guess. If you want I could get you in with me. Private message me with your phone number Eugene Nowaczyk

I had trouble at an AHL game recently (1D3 and 24-70L), but my buddy had no problem getting his Rebel XTI and 2 lenses into two NHL games. I don't understand what they are worried about? A wide angle shot of the arena? Minor league, there is more to it then just taking photo the owners of the event center do not want people hanging around the glass and blocking the view for others. also there are no shooter holes in the glass, and there is glass in the penalty box so taking photos is very tricky Eugene Nowaczyk

The 1st shot is at ISO 3200 the last three are at 1600. The lens was the 70-200 f2.8L set at 2.8. Shutter speed was 1/1000sec. Picture style was standard, AWB, High speed ISO noise reduction was set to 0:standard. I know that there is some noise but PP would take care of it. Being above the action is not ideal but it was the only was to get above the glass. Comments welcome.![]() I think I missed something here Eugene Nowaczyk
