I just tried to write a PS action to resize my images to thumbnails and save them in a separate folder. Worked great, but the images are mixed vertical and horizontal, and so the horizontal ones are 200 wide and 150 high, but the vertical ones are 200 wide and 270 high! What did I miss so that the action will detect orientation and set the largest dimension to 200?

cheers,

Philip,

If you use the command File>Automate>Fit Image, you can specify max. height and width. If you set both these to whatever you want as the long side in portrait or landscape, you'll get the desired result.

Regards.
