My 1st Off Camera Flash Session

So I took my daughter and 3 of the girls on her cheer team out for a practice session. I learned a lot with this and I see where some of my faults are but I wanted to share these and see what you all think about them. Mind you it was about 19 deg out after the wind chill so these girls were just frozen..

These are looking pretty nice..... Watch the nose shadows and you'll be fine.. the last one is a little bit iffy.. but that is me being totally hard on you.. overall a really nice series...

Thanks Kristy, Yes after I did this session TonyR gave me some pointers. He told me to have the person's nose follow the flash so I am going to work on that. It is not easy learning something new and never having anyone physically show you what to do. I am such a hands on learner. I also miss being here more often. It is so hard to juggle so many things.

I shot in ETTL I used 1 canon 430ex flash and the ste2 as the trigger I have a small softbox (diffuser) on my flash also. Thanks all for the comments. I have a lot to learn but it feels good to not have bombed my 1st time.

I agree about the round frames. I did the 2 photos with it and stopped. I like the other ones though and have had a few clients comment on it so I do use them often. just not the rounded ones.
