I find the whites very harsh...her eye blends into her hair, and the crop is very tight.

Not sure by what "stylized" means in this context. In any case, the subject and the colors are pleasing. Is the focus on the face? Re composition, I don't find the veil interesting in itself and the poor lady is "staring at the edge of the image", not so comfortable. So I'm with Flo, would like some room on the left for the lady.

I think you are headed in the right direction here. Sometimes a part of a picture being washed out adds to the image. In this case the white bothers my eyes. Maybe if it were warmer temperature and just a bit more detail in the white It would feel better.
