Nice shots. I covered it mostly from the other end by the stairs. I couldn't believe how much light there was!

Black shirt, big nose, Canon equipment in a Mountainsmith bag. I was chatting mostly with Mary, Karin and Ian in the waiting area.

Did they ask anything before giving out credentials, was it mandatory to have pics going to print at all? Seems like this was easy access.

Easy access? Easy when you work for a major publication...

idk why but this made me literally laugh out loud. exactly the type of response we need more of on this site. sarcastic honesty, and no im not being sarcastic, lol.

wonderful shots, does look like there was a buttload of light at the venue. im assuming they were taken with your 1d3?

i think that Compact Diss was more referring to the fact that Rich (90c4) and Mary (amareica) were (i believe) both shooting for smaller websites...but I'm sure we'll all be awed by whatever outlet Scott was shooting for...

Yes, which major please? a link possibly?

This is the type of band I would photograph if I was assigned, or to draw hits to my site, because from a musical standpoint, they offer nothing. I still can't figure out why people pay to see them.

I like the pics, the lighting at this event would have allow a point and shoot great results.

#'s 2,3,4,5 could have better cropping because you are missing part of the feet, the other two are nice.

There were 14 photographers there ranging from smaller web sites to the Boston Globe. Their publicist emailed me that the shots were to be used at the site that I shoot for only, but I wasn't asked to sign a release. Some of my shots are here, btw - http://****/BlackEyedPeas-Bos (external link)

Tim, are you implying that TWRY isn't the music media powerhouse I thought it was? How DARE you! =] No but really I was shooting for LiveDaily so not sure how the credentialing went but as Rich said, there was a range from small sites to dailies. My shots are here if anyone really cares: http://photos.theywillrockyou.com …761_SnSCP#798295387_9tEzL (external link)
