I know there is a lot of room for improvement, but figured I would share my first examples.
I know I need a better wash, and nicer car
But I want to have the skill before doing either of those haha!Livinthalife Cream of the Crop 5,118 posts Likes: 1 Joined Jan 2006 Location: Austin,TX More info | Feb 27, 2010 18:47 | #1 I know there is a lot of room for improvement, but figured I would share my first examples. But I do agree about lighting. I thought it was going to be good (the sun was setting, but it was HARSH to say the least.) -Andy-

I will experiment more with DOF, and various shutter speeds. I will document what does what and go from there. Thanks for looking. -Andy-

These shots I was moving less 3mph. I had the camera attached to a rig. So couldn't move fast. So in order to get any blur what so ever, I needed to extend the shutter as much as possible. -Andy-

In #1, you might have eliminated the tree & building by shooting a 1/2 second later? FrankC - 20D, RAW, Manual everything...

I also learned doing this single handed (just self timer and hopping in the car) is much moredifficult than anticipated. Going to look around for better locations, and will have a bud of mine there. We are both photographers, so we should be able to bounce ideas off one another, and assist when needed. -Andy-

Just another of those "It seemed like a good idea at the time" things? I think he has a remote timer which would be a necessity too! "remote timer", or remote release? Considering that most rig shots are at about 2-3mph as you said, you can probably use a cable release if you have someone else to be in the car. FrankC - 20D, RAW, Manual everything...
