<envy>I would love to go out there hunting (with the camera) ..... </envy>
BTW... just reading "Assegai" by Wilbur Smith. That is set in the days they did not have proper camera's yet...

As far as CC: I think in the situation you were in you did a good job. Of course it would have been nicer to see the cat without the grass... and the jumbo a bit closer. But who cares... You were there and shot it.

Edit: Sorry I commented on the two first shots only as they came up after I clicked. There are some more awesome shots there. My envy only gets stronger. :)

You have some really good shots here. But I think that the horizon line in the leopard and elephant shots is off. They are tilting to the side. The fox and cheetah shots are my favorite.

I think the grass adds interest, but I doubt you had much of a choice. Nice shots-Rog

I second that, great shot. The second one brings back a few memories.

thanks for the comments, yeah it had rained alot when i went and the grass was really long, it was only a brief moment when the cheetah sat up...as for the elephants, we got real close and got some closeup shots... was trying out something different at 18mm.

thanks! you are right about the elephant shot...although the left part of it looks ok? do you think the distortion is caused by the 18-55mm lens?
