Chavs, scum, the usual medway town assortment... ;)

Hmmm, doesn't bode well for us all walking around with £'000s of gear does it? Better carry a hefty monopod. :D

I was thinking of starting a meet soon, Rochester was looking good and close to everyone. What sort of days are people free in the coming month or so?

I am sadly working the whole easter weekend, but i am free every other friday. Also free weekend of 10th/11th April.

Right, I'd better pick the wife up from her bread-making course. Looks like bread for dinner then :)

Rochester isnt /that/ bad. Mostly the same scruffy young oiks you find in every town with nothing better to do than be gobby.

Chatham dock yards could be another possibility - very close by as well.

I just twigged that too - the Dockyards could make for some interesting pics! and it's bound to have a beer vendor or two!

EDIT> they have a submarine called the HMS Ocelot on display (JD will appreciate that!)

Talking of the Chatham Historic Dockyard (external link), it's that time of the year again.

Medway Festival of Steam & Transport

4th and 5th April 2010 - Easter Sunday and Monday.

Hundreds of spectacular steam and transport exhibits! Favourites like vintage cars and classic motorbikes, commercial and military vehicles, steam traction engines and locomotives, cars, trucks, lorries, tractors, model and life size steam engines - to name just a few!

Also, I've still got a promise running from last year that anyone attending my next meet will get a free beer at lunchtime :)
