Well a trip out to SVA imports was wasted. They'd got a Toyota Hi-ace Granvia on a stand, looked great from outside, few small scuffs, inside was a bit tatty, smelt of smokers and had dirty carpets. It was N reg with 151,000Km and they wanted £5.5 for it. Very disappointing as at that price I expected an almost mint interior. The search for a mini-van continues and looks like it'll take me out of the county unless anyone else knows some good Jap importers in Kent?

D'Oh! I was a bit frightened when I first saw "naked" and was expecting a naked picture of you to show up!

Nope...been playing around in PS with it for the last 20 minutes and can't get anything legible.

Thanks for trying :)

Amateur :p

It says "Beneath this sod lies another". Simples :)

I'm sure it says something about aliens or buried treasure.

Interesting bit on canon rumours about the possible pricing of the 1DsIV (external link). Actually, the interesting bit is this line here:

That would be nice, and assuming the 1DsIV is launched june/july would fit in nicely with my purchase plans :)

That would be sweet!!! I shall hold off a while longer then :) Although I'm sure VAT rising to 20% soon will wipe any savings out.

I'd be wary of SVA Rafe always seems more interested in his time attack/drift 350z than his customers cars. I know of people that have had trouble with a car after a month or so of buying it had a problem and he just doesn't want to know, and someone else who he imported a car for and it took twice as long as it should of then he added 50% to the agreed price once it was at SVA and didn't even get it MOT'd and SVA'd as agreed. I don't know of any other importers in Kent but steer clear of Newera in Sussex I've heard a lot of horror stories about them as well.

I am guessing you have set your preferred settings in Av/Tv/M and then gone into the menu to save custom/user settings to C1/C2/C3? That should do it for you...

Would the c1/c2 not need to be set for AV?

Well, you can set the aperture, iso, metering, shutter options (ie burst mode/timer etc), wb etc etc and save it to one of the C slots. I have done this on mine for a sports setup. Then saved another slot for video shooting and another slot for general walk around shooting. I forget which I have saved to each though...

Cool looking camera strap but looks a tad sharp on the edges:

I don't think we'll be going back, the guy's attitude while we looked it over was more that we were wasting his time, but then I guess he'd know that from the condition of the motor and the price in the window. Lisa spotted a Nissan Elgrand and liked the look of that and some hunting pulled up Coopers Place Cars in Surrey from an Elgrand forum whether they are anygood or not I don't know. But somewhere in Sussex/Essex/Kent would be nice than trekking across the country to get a car.

Nice shots Kay, much cleaner exposures than the last set. Was this a smaller venue, or were you jus waiting for the skaters to get closer and using flash?
