The prize is to go to a football match and photograph it with a Sony Cybershot camera, not even an Alpha. I think I'd feel like a prat doing that.

 Cybershot is a just another prize you have to take your own gear as stated in Rule 3 incase anyone was put off by this.

Great shots all, love the bee shot Lee.

if you were to buy a set of headphones to listen to music at home on what would you get? My old ones are falling apart.

This style I'm looking for not the small portable ones.

Hi all :)

Gosh it's been a while since I posted here! Been manically busy with work and other commitments I ust haven't had the chance to come on here lately :(

I've got a bit of a favour to ask ... my Dad has been asked if he knew anyone who could photograph an event this Saturday at 3pm at the Cobham Hilton hotel. It's a party for a 105 year old with a large number of her relatives, and they want professional group photos taken, and photos taken of the guests. He asked me first, but I just don't have the time for it at the moment - for one thing I'm giving a half-evening talk on panorama photography next Monday at my photography club and I haven't started writing the presentation yet!

Please zip me a PM if you're interested in doing this. It would be paid, and (within reason ;)) you can charge what you like. It's a very big event and they've already paid a lot for a band and various other entertainment, so they would be happy to pay for a professional photography service too. I'm assuming they would want a fair number of prints made as well.

The organiser will also start looking around so if you're interested, put your hand up quickly :)

Many thanks and sorry I haven't been around much lately!

David :)

Something like this, Sennheiser HD 448's. (external link)

They're not cheap but with Sennheiser you get what you pay for.

Nope rule 14 clearly states:

The winning photographer will be expected to take photographic content at the assigned World Cup match using the provided Sony equipment. Each photographer will be assigned a Cyber-shot DSC-HX5. The winning photographer will be required to supply this footage to Sony from the location immediately after the event.

Always make sure you read all the rules. I was hunting for a rights grab TBH and it seems while they aren't rights grabbing on the images you submit for the competition you are essentially working for hire with their camera at the event so they get all your images and the rights there.
