It's all they do make things pretty and market them.

What's making my chuckle is the reports of it being an iPhone 4G. The chances of it being 4G are likely highly slim. No network has a real 4G network in place and from what I've read for 4G to be workable we all need to move onto IPv6 which is something heels have been dragged over for the last decade. There's also the fact that Apple aren't exactly known for leading with new technologies the original iPhone came out lacking most of the things taken for granted in cheap smartphones at the time such as 3G, multitasking, media messaging, etc. They are a company known for looking at what other people have done, taking the bits they like, making them look pretty, slapping on a massive markup compared to the opposition and marketing the products like mad. It works and there's a group of Apple evangelists out there that are even more keen to convert people to the way of Jobs than your average Jehovah's Witness.

This product has lots of the little add-ons that people were hoping for from the 3Gs and it gives the fanboys something to dribble about.

I love apple and I agree. it is still not doing everthing a smart phone should and the control they have over what can run on it as standard is not okay for me.

HTC touch HD 2 or HTC htc Desire for me I think, although I would get an iphone as a 2nd phone.

So that makes the $10k the proceeds of crime then.

Open headphones, sometimes marketed as “open air” headphones, have an open grille on the back of the earcup, exposing the driver to the outside and allowing sound waves to propagate away from the ear freely. This backing type does not isolate the listener from outside sounds; in addition, sound through open headphones can be heard by others in the vicinity of the user. They usually have less distortion due to the lack of earcup resonance.

Closed headphones have a sealed backing, which attenuates sound waves propagating away from the ear.

Hi all :)

Gosh it's been a while since I posted here! Been manically busy with work and other commitments I ust haven't had the chance to come on here lately :(

I've got a bit of a favour to ask ... my Dad has been asked if he knew anyone who could photograph an event this Saturday at 3pm at the Cobham Hilton hotel. It's a party for a 105 year old with a large number of her relatives, and they want professional group photos taken, and photos taken of the guests. He asked me first, but I just don't have the time for it at the moment - for one thing I'm giving a half-evening talk on panorama photography next Monday at my photography club and I haven't started writing the presentation yet!

Please zip me a PM if you're interested in doing this. It would be paid, and (within reason ;)) you can charge what you like. It's a very big event and they've already paid a lot for a band and various other entertainment, so they would be happy to pay for a professional photography service too. I'm assuming they would want a fair number of prints made as well.

The organiser will also start looking around so if you're interested, put your hand up quickly :)

Many thanks and sorry I haven't been around much lately!

David :)

Ah, shame it is not a different weekend as I would have done it. Cant do this Saturday as I am on stage in my play. Hope you find someone.

Lovely day out there, just home from foraging for wild garlic :) Pictures along the way naturally.
Also picked up a strip-light to try out some of Lee's night-writing :)
