I presume it was off of the battery for a while? Presumably an engine around 10 years old? Mine does that when you have the battery off for a while, the ECU forgets it's settings and for the first couple of runs it lets the revs drop too far at a junction, couple of days later it drives fine again.

As long as the battery holds its charge ok after it's had time to charge. Run it about half hour to charge it and when you drive it round remember to keep some extra revs on when you are at junctions and it should be fine in a few days depending on how much you drive it. My drive to work is half hour each way and it takes a few days for the ECU to get back to normal.

It's all they do make things pretty and market them.

What's making my chuckle is the reports of it being an iPhone 4G. The chances of it being 4G are likely highly slim. No network has a real 4G network in place and from what I've read for 4G to be workable we all need to move onto IPv6 which is something heels have been dragged over for the last decade. There's also the fact that Apple aren't exactly known for leading with new technologies the original iPhone came out lacking most of the things taken for granted in cheap smartphones at the time such as 3G, multitasking, media messaging, etc. They are a company known for looking at what other people have done, taking the bits they like, making them look pretty, slapping on a massive markup compared to the opposition and marketing the products like mad. It works and there's a group of Apple evangelists out there that are even more keen to convert people to the way of Jobs than your average Jehovah's Witness.

This product has lots of the little add-ons that people were hoping for from the 3Gs and it gives the fanboys something to dribble about.

The 4G refers to 4th Generation Phone, not 4G networks, which some networks ARE currently trialing.

As in it started then the revs dropped off and it stalled?

Like I said give it some good runs and let the ECU re-learn the fuel. Bit of a design flaw IMHO that the ECU settings go completely to pot when it loses power.

Same as the iPhone 3G was a second generation phone eh?

Oh no, in that case THAT referred to network. But they had the 3rd gen since then. Keep up 007.

I know the 3Gs, so one would assume they'd not call the next one 4G as that may muddy the waters somewhat. The articles calling it a 4G may already do so. 3Gt perhaps, then the 3Gti...

Call me highly skeptical but I side with The Register article that suggests that the loss is in fact just a marketing ploy.

+1

I have also sold my Tamron, amazingly quickly. I am going to go with Sylvesters suggestion of a 17-40 and a 50 1.4 (a UWA will have to wait). As I have the cash I'm going to get the 17-40 first off so if anyone knows of a second hand one going please give me a shout :)

Someone here mentioned one a few days back IIRC. Loving the one I got from Victor. Still really want a 28 1.8 though for the tighter DOF and low light shooting.
