There's no option to play with different colour channels in the curves settings in LR - I think you need photoshop for that. You can play with the Hue, Saturation and Luminance of different colour channels in LR though which I do quite often.

cool yeah that's the method i tried on this. I will keep on playing with this method try and nail it on in LR. It seems I do really need to get into PS though.
i do want to try cross processing in PS. I guess it just needs playing around with to find desired effect

Thats good to know. I know i just need to practice and change some of my settings. Is there an ideal shutter speed for this, or is it depending on the lens?

This was shot at 320th, I know it is not perfect but the tyres are imo nicely blurred whilst keeping the rider sharp. It is a case of keep having a look at the pics, airshows for example if you are shooting planes you can get away with faster shutter speed than helicopters due to the different speeds of the rotors

From the inside of Druids, I would be aiming for about 1/125s, it depends on the speed of the bikes of course.

Finally got all 1300 shots processed and uploaded;

Now I know you have been waiting to see the group photo..

Here you go

IMAGE: http://www.swaffs.co.uk/images/2010/RS10BH-070310WEB/RS10BH-070310-7863.jpg

notice the black/blue bike on the left, it's the only one not on a paddock stand.
When the riders came to the front of the bikes for a different angle, his sister held the bike whilst crouching behind it...............

A few squeals later;

IMAGE: http://www.swaffs.co.uk/images/2010/RS10BH-070310WEB/RS10BH-070310-7871.jpg

Spot Adrian coming to the rescue from the left

IMAGE: http://www.swaffs.co.uk/images/2010/RS10BH-070310WEB/RS10BH-070310-7873.jpg

IMAGE: http://www.swaffs.co.uk/images/2010/RS10BH-070310WEB/RS10BH-070310-7874.jpg

Thankfully there was no major damage done, one dad was not impressed and stormed off (there was some fairing damage to one of his bikes!).
Needless to say we called it a day from there....

Lesson to all, thats why I never touch or move anything for a shoot, it's not my property and I take no responsibility for propping it against a wall/another bike/melted kitkat etc..

Nicely caught, shame you didn't get the shot of them all sitting down first. I like the one of #22 on your website of him on his own with the sign behind him.

I have a long way to go before becoming a true photographer as I went to help, I was ideally placed to have got some good pictures

@ Rich ~ thanks for the insight of the "incident" but who on earth thought it would be best to let someone hold a heavy bike in balance 'like that' rather than go grab a stand, I would bet not even a strong man could hold a bike very well or long below its centre of gravity. As for the guy in the grey 2 tone top trying to grab & pull it like that......he could end up needing a chiropractor!

That was a great meal ~ you must have a good set of pans :p

Did he direct it at you or the fool not using a stand?
