Why would you want to name a hockey team after a butterfly?

Race Car questions:

Any knowledge I have about racing comes from Speed Racer and Pixar's Cars

In Cars the main car blows a tire and then gets a yellow flag and all the other cars have to drive slow. Is that real? Why? Is it like a nfl time out??

My second question is, if a car could do everything the Mach 5 did (Speed Racer) would it be a legal for regular racing or are there certain qualifications?

My third question is, would someone like to come over and watch an NON cartoon with me??

 You are so cute. I think you should practice being a race fan. It might take couple races to get into it but it is good stuff once you understand the goings on.

But you don't like football either

Hahaha!

For die hard racers, the season never ends. It just shifts to the warmer hemisphere.

NASCAR runs from February to November.
Formula 1 runs from March to November.
SCCA has event year round.
Izod IndyCar runs February to October.
ALMS runs from March to October.
Grand-Am runs from January to September.
Australian V8 Supercars runs from February to December.

Many many weekends we have spent at Summit Point in W.Va. It is a great winding road course. I don't know about now but there used to be little in the way of seating other than the grandstand. The rest of the course you could just park at the rail on the edge of the track. We used to go for the Bike races as well as cars.

Woolburr wrote in post #9875291 (external link)
I think they need more road courses and a dirt track or two!

That^ We also used to race a dirt car with a friend and spent a few years down in the pits at Potomac Speedway. Leyla is a heck of a pit girl.

Hey.. We do lawnmower races in out neighborhood every Thanksgiving weekend.

Looks like a great neighborhood JJ. Sort of what America should be for everyone in my opinion.

Yo

Summit Point is a fun track.

Doing it on dirt is the only way to go. I spend many hours lovingly tuning this beast each week.

I fell asleep around 9 last night, was up a while at 4 then back till 7...I'm still tired!

That is like two good nights of sleep all packaged into one. ;)

TIFF, lovely senior shots. I gotta say though, I don't see what a couple others say about the eyes, they look in focus and sharp, but not overdone like I have seen with some peoples who I believe most likely missed the focus and tried to make up for it by oversharpening. Could this just be a monitor thing, the real truth is in the printed photos. I have not printed out lots of photos yet, but I know some things I feel I may have oversharpened, came out great in print.
