I would think so too Paula, but there is no head or anything, as it swelled it looked like the vein itself was going to pop thru my skin. I am having some more pain in my wrist as well, might head to the ER actually it looks pretty nasty.

Let us know what you find out if you go in to the ER. I'm very curious to know what it could be.

Hi guys...I'm here for a few more.

This is the senior that I shot with today. She was so amused at my mishap with my pants (the fabric bit the dust, or turned into it or something) that she nearly fell out of a tree..... :-S

Very pretty! Fantastic shots!

Yo, we went out for a bite and a margarita after my lat yo. You never noticed I was gone did you :-|

I didn't 'cause I was gone too.

btw...I did vacuum today but you'd never know it now.

HAHA! I know how that is all to well. I took several really cute shots of Zuse. But the floor looked so dirty I'm embarrassed to share them.

Tiff! I quoted your pics and they disappeared. Very very cute shots.

Seems if something major is going to break down in my family, it is just before entertaining. My mom has had to replace stoves and refrigerators, sometimes on the same day as an event. Last Christmas Eve my brother lost power and almost canceled until I convinced him our generator would get him up and running. Well true to form...our well pump won't stop running. There is no water running any where but the pump won't shut off unless we through the breaker. So all cleaning requiring water has been coordinated to be done at the same time. We'll throw the breaker when all are here so the restrooms are working. Otherwise keep it off when water isn't needed until it can be looked at on Monday.

Going to go cool off and then head to bed.

Arg. Sorry, Becky  I am sure though, that all will be well with your gathering :D

Bailey is a really sweet dog. She listens well, she is well behaved, and she gets along really great with the other dogs when they play.

Except she is SO starved for human affection, that she glues herself to me, and if one of the other dogs comes even near us while I'm loving on her, she will snap at them. She got Wally on the nose pretty good this afternoon. (And the way he carried on you'd have thought that she ripped his toenails out or something)

She gets sternly reprimanded when she does that, but I'm so torn... I hate to punish her when she is only doing it because she craves love. :( Makes my heart hurt.

Hmmm. Is she related to a certain Canadian Canine?

Aww. I know it must be hard, but think of it as if you were her forever home, would you allow it? Regardless of the reason. She has to adjust and become part of the family, and sometimes reprimands are another form of being just that. *hugs n skritches*

Nice geekdom. Looks good, use thin solder:lol:

I use 23 gauge, I don't think it comes much thinner. :) The problem is the pads are actually way too close I had to remove bridges from 3 of the pairs of contacts, one pair was fine... It wasn't too bad to clean up. I need to get a solder sucker, though. The copper braid is not terribly efficient for removing solder.

Mike, I apologize... I know absolutely NOTHING about solder and boards and circuits, etc. I don't know what they do, how they work, how they're made, why they are cool, or the how/why to make them.

Aside from that... It's cool that your happy with it all! LOL.

So... all soldered up:

These were bridged... now they're not. Looks really nasty close-up. And here I was thinking with the unaided eye everything looked beautiful..

IMAGE: http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4071/4488396075_fcac2b909c_o.jpg

More nasty joints:
IMAGE: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2740/4488396111_303f32989b_o.jpg
A couple of these don't have enough solder.. one is nearly devoid of any solder. It's amazing that there's even a connection there! One has a bare copper pad, still!

Joints on the pins that plug into the board. I think that's what they call cold solder.

Though, the shape on these is suggestive of adequate solder. One looks like it got a bit too much.

nope, they keep my eyes dilated every 8 hrs...so the last couple of hours (before the next drops) I see a bit better (that's when they were here to visit so I could actually see them all to a degree). I was just a little late in my night time drops but I would have had to turn off all the lights...didn't think that was very conducive to polite visiting.:lol:

I do better outside in that sort of light too. If I "patched" mine though...LOL...that would be funny.

How are you doing, shooting your events? Is it working to use your left eye?

I tend to pull the camera away and look at the screen on top to see settings. I don't think I had a great day.

Yeah you need a solder sucker. Get the type with a spring loaded plunger not a bulb thingy. Also get a good varible temp iron if you are not using one.
