Your dogs ARE.  Speaking of, how is Max doing?

Max is pretty much set in his ways. He gets car sick, so he hides under the bed when he thinks we're taking doggies for a ride. He runs in circles a lot... I think because he spent most of every day of his life before coming here in a small caged in area. He's not real particular about where he goes pottey. He has integrated with Scooter and Pokie and they play together. All and all he's a good dog.

Quick update on TR since I can't really think of anything else to say:

I'll start posting the Monterey Jack series next Monday on a Mon-Wed-Fri schedule like last time.

That is all. Carry on.

looks forward to next week...

Calypso is found. phew. Apparently she went in a cupboard and MIL didn't notice. She found her this morning. (Kip doesn't meow when she's accidentally locked up...never has...dunno why)

Glad to here Calypso has been found and was not outside.

I also think that Buddy would try to be a lap dog if he could. He usually has to lay between John and I on the couch - usually touching both of us in the process.

FWIW, we have a dead dog living room as well.

on another note, do any of your dogs think they are lap dogs (constantly) when they are WAY too big to be? Hale thinks she is.

Yes, Buddy and Winston both would love to be on laps if they could. Cricket of course is a lap dog.

My furkids is small, 15 pounds and he's not really a lap dog. He likes to press against you when were sitting on the couch, but doesn't like being in your lap.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

okay so we all have a group of relatively young dogs. Is Amikah the oldest? Or Terri's dog (can't remember if she's got Puppy or Sweetie)? Or Ginger?

Cuz Zoe, Harley & Hale are all under 1 old.
Kona, Baxter & Jasper are btw 1 & 2
Maggie is 2.

Daisy was around 5 when we got her in 2001; Smiley was maybe 2-3 the same year so they're 13 and 10 or so. BooBoo's a youngster at 8.

Depending on the breed of dog, they can live up to 15 yrs. My boxer was about 13 when she passed.

It depends on the breed, Lisa. Small breeds generally live longer. Large breeds have a shorter life span.

interesting. That's not the case with cats...they all have a very similar (and long, unless disaster strikes) life span.

One of the reasons (probably selfish) I didn't want dogs was because they die so quickly. (at least 8-9 years seemed quick to me...especially if it took a few years to train a dog to be a good companion) Now I'm going to have to look up springers and see what they are.

 yeah, Banjo is a big boy. He's only 10 months old, with HUGE feet, so I'm guessing he's not done growing either. :)

wow. lol. I'm such a dork. I just looked. Springers life expectancy is 12-14 years.

Sometimes I think my brain left the station with a non-forwarding address...:lol:
