holy cow Jon! I thought dogs only lived about 8-9 years.

Waldo, the Irish-Lab cross was 15 when he died; Berky and Gizmo were maybe the same. Coco was perhaps 13; Little Man maybe 15-16. Toby probably 15. Fiz was around 16. Blanche maybe 14-15. Banjo, well they said he was 11 when we adopted him in '02; he died in '09, but we think they were a bit high on his age. Zonker was probably also 16. Baby died young at 11, but she had a really bad heart. I think that's all we've had. Smaller dogs (several Shih Tzu, several more Shih-Tzu x Poodle and sometimes x something else, a mini Poodle, LhasaPoo, some kind of small (Norfolk?) Terrier x Brussells Griffon, etc.) generally live longer than larger ones although when Waldo was around 12-13 we met another Irish-Lab the same age as him. My sister's Golden was around 12 anyhow when she died and Rashie, her Standard Poodle was at least 16 (she'd know fore sure). All ours, except Waldo, were rescues, so ages are approximate; Ann got Waldo as a pup.

Our Tammy lived to 20, she was about 30 pounds so a long life for her size. No idea what breed she was.

Emily was 13.

so, out of curiosity then...what happens if, in our case, springers average is 12-14 years but Kona is a much larger than average springer? (if it's based on size)? (barring disaster and illness)

Not to burst your SUV hating bubble but hummers have just been a dressed up Chevy pick up trucks for years ever since they did away with the H1. So that big red Dodge in your drive is really just a Dodge Hummer:p Careful or someone is going to label you.

I think the Hummer H2 was built on a Yukon platform... And our Dodge is the Dakota, the "small" one. It's the same platform as the Durango. The service manual covers both vehicles...

My ringtone when Lorraine calls is still "who let the dogs out"

Can you send us that ring tone? We'll use it for you and Lorainne both...

A good reason for those dog barriers in the back of an SUV!!

Wet dogs go in the bed of the truck... The truck has a shell.

Jinx was 65 pounds and lived until 13. When she died she was still very able and happy, just deaf as a stone:lol:

Jinx at 12

Dollie is going to live to be 35 years old........just to pi$$ me off.

The new microwave is installed, as is the trim kit. Standing back admiring my work, I see I haven't peeled the plastic off the stainless steel on the door. When I do, I see a dent. GAH!!!

That means tear it all out, uninstall the trim kit, and wait for them to deliver another one, or ---------

Come to think of it, the dent isn't THAT noticeable.

I'm not short. I'm concentrated awesome!
