Evening folks :D

Baby still has not shown up, but Evan....he's sick again. Poor guy, we just came back from his pedi and it turns out that he has el swine flu. We were surprised that he got it because he had his H1N1 shot and seasonal flu shot....when we told that to doc, she asked "did you get his booster for H1N1 a month later?" Uh no, they never told us to go back to get a booster for him.:mad: Sooooo, Mari has to ask doc tomorrow what she and I are supposed to do since we had the H1N1 shots already. We may start up on some Tamiflu tomorrow.

The beauty of the virtual machine is that I still have my old Windows XP installation, complete with programs and files, and I can refer back to it should I ever need to. So now, I can start my Mac with OS X, then switch back and forth between that, XP, and Windows 7, all without re-booting. I couldn't do that on a PC.

Yeah you could. Have a PC with XP on the left and a PC with Win 7 on the right. To switch back and forth, just make sure that there is nothing on the ground that would make your chair tip over or get caught in the wheels.

Calypso is found. phew. Apparently she went in a cupboard and MIL didn't notice. She found her this morning. (Kip doesn't meow when she's accidentally locked up...never has...dunno why)

Good news!
Now....all MIL has to do is install tiny panic buttons in the cupboards so that red lights turn on outside of the cupboard to notify that Calypso has been trapped

Quite simply "shudder (external link)" comes to mind ...

Why? I used to watch that show when I was growing up. Saturday morning regular...reruns during the week.

Belmondo wrote in post #9730379 (external link)
Yeah. The way the just slid that in at the end just tickles me.

Sorry if anyone is offended.

 I like how Jack turned back real fast after the woman said that...then the look on the lady on the left. ROFL!!

on another note, do any of your dogs think they are lap dogs (constantly) when they are WAY too big to be?

But of course.

Maggie sat on Dan's lap when we were all in Chris' car a couple of weekends ago. She was wet and (I'm guessing) trying to get warm. Dan said that was quite an experience. Especially since Kona kept trying to get btw. her and D. (he too was wet)

No doubt why Chris made D sit in the back.;)

Permagrin wrote in post #9730143 (external link)
Kona just got all his shots, dewormed (just for the heck of it I guess), weighed etc.

I was correct, the vet's receptionist said the rest of Bax's boosters are due 3 weeks later. He is scheduled for one appointment to get them all done.:D

Evening....bye...time to go sing.

I'm having one of those tired but not sleepy evenings. Since I have a lot to do tomorrow, think I'll take my Cabela's Women's Clothing catalog that came today and see if thumbing through it will either bring on the sleepies or make my bank account shudder.

G'Nite all. Skritch all your fur kids for me.

Ooooooo I'd like to see the Cabela's Womens clothing catalog!!!!

Speaking of Springer moments.....did ya hear the one about the parolee from NC that decided that it would be fun to go appear on the Springer Show?

Seems he forgot that he was working his third strike and his parole terms state he can't leave NC....he is now serving the remaining 45 years of his sentence with no chance for parole....all because he wanted to embarrass someone on Springer.

Bwahahahahahahaha I missed that story!

Oh Snap! LOVED it! Wanted to knock the photographer in her weirdly moving mouth! Just sayin!

There is a pretty good thread here about it. Sad when two fools with entry level cameras on full auto can bill themselves as "professionals"...the judge spanked them....and rightly so.

That^^^^^ But I've shot a wedding with an XTi.... but I did use fast lenses for those low light moments... just sayin!

Dang. There's a slim chance that I'll be driving down to NC w/a friend in a couple weeks as she leaves for Spain...she has to fly out of Jacksonville...I was kind of hoping its near to Wool/Jenn, but it looks like it couldn't be much further and still be in the same state.

Why in the name of tarnation would someone fly out of Jacksonville... hell hole of NC?? Is it a military flight?! Wish you were coming closer to us!

Just catching up now.

If you are interested at all in the kooky family life that we have, you are welcome to watch this. (I didn't know he was recording, LOL)

Wade, in his infinite creativity, made spaghetti tacos for dinner last night.
We thought it was the funniest thing ever. I couldn't stop laughing.

OMG I was in fits of giggles watching this! Perhaps the pitcher of margaritas I made this evening had something to do with it?!?!

Tevin on facebook just cracks me up. Seriously. Everytime I catch up there and read his posts, I am dying.

The funny thing is that he is so like that in real life too. LOL. He is the oldest 12 year old I know.

I LOVE having Tevin on facebook! He cracks me up with his posts and responses!!!!

Permagrin wrote in post #9724834 (external link)
okay so we all have a group of relatively young dogs. Is Amikah the oldest? Or Terri's dog (can't remember if she's got Puppy or Sweetie)? Or Ginger?

Cuz Zoe, Harley & Hale are all under 1 old.
Kona, Baxter & Jasper are btw 1 & 2
Maggie is 2.

Cooper I think has finally passed the 1 year mark... I don't think he was the 12 months old they said he was when we got him....

Becky N wrote in post #9724931 (external link)
Did you see his Kona impersonations?

QUOTED IMAGE

Holy Moo Bax looks SOOOOOO grown!!!!! Have you done the picture of you sitting next to him in front of the cabinets in a while?? I think we are due to see that series again with an updated shot!!! (though since I missed the last 40-50 pages of the last thread.... I may have missed it!)

Yep! YEP! love 'em!

It depends on the breed, Lisa. Small breeds generally live longer. Large breeds have a shorter life span.

I had a black lab/shephard mix that lived to 16 years old. He was about 100 lbs... I got him when I was 3 and at 19 he was having kidney failure and we as a family decided that his quality of life wasn't there any more... heart breaking trip home from college... :(

bwahahahaahahahahaha

I'm checking in ! Couldn't check in last night because I had no internet... grrrrrrr But fortunatley I didn't have to call the cable company... that is always such a hassle because they have it so automated that I already do their stupid checks before I even decide to call...

But I am back in the land of internet tonight!!! OH and Margaritas!!!!

This week has been totally unproductive at work... regular day monday... 2.5 hr delay @ work and classes canceled 2 hours after I got to work on Tuesday, child care centers I needed to see... closed... Wednesday... 2.5 hr delay.... no classes... today 2.5 hr delay... My kids haven't been to school since Monday.... And tomorrow I have a massage... and a sucky dentist appointment so I'm going to finish the week on a sucky productivity note.... but the massage will be nice!

Jenn, yes, military flight and then she's got to turn the rental car in there too, which means that's where I fly out of as well if it all goes as planned. Such is life, my flight is fairly cheap...I wish too it were closer to you guys.

All Burger King commercials are disturbing... That's just one reason why I will never eat there.

The fast food commercials I really dislike are the Carl's Junior ones. They advertising manager must be a woman who went through an ugly divorce because every single one makes men out to be real idiots...

a 6ft 8' woman...with a size 17 MEN's shoe. holy moo  HOCK!!

Well, according to travelocity its there, but according to friend, there's 2 "terminals" and you have to walk out to the tarmac to get on the plane. No biggy, sounds like its just a hair smaller than Harrisburg, lol.
