Good to see what seems like more winter sports shots on the board this year. This is my first season out on the slopes with my gear and I appreciate the difficulty in capturing a scene where all the elements come together.

I took the shot below of my good friend while spending a long ski weekend at the Big Mountain in Whitefish, Montana. It was a gray day, with flat light, so the colors in this image didn't pop as much as I would have liked. Long live photoshop.

I have my opinions about the treatment. Interested in hearing what others have to say.

Appreciate the feedback.

Nice shot. Interesting PP. However I don't care for how the ground turned out. I would really like the pic more without the ground.

I like what you did with it... Now just crop it and lose the ground and you have an ever better photograph..

I find it interesting that you both mention taking out the ground, when it's considered such an important element in ski photography.
