I was in Firenze (Florence) for Easter last year, and was able to make it to the big celebration. Here are a few photos... C&C welcome
The first few are of the procession in:
1) City Guard
2) Nobility

After the procession, a cart is pulled in by a pair of white oxen. They're unhitched, there's some setup, and then the fireworks covering the cart are set off. Most of my pictures of the fireworks just weren't very good, but there were a couple I liked.

Unfortunately, I screwed up: I was still learning to use the camera, and had the aperture too small. A lot of these are touched up to make them as clear as possible, and some of the best compositions were too blurred to be salvageable. Oh well. Comments and advice are always welcome -- I've already told you one thing I know is wrong.
