Hello,
Im planing a trip to the bronx zoo this spirng / summer. I need to know if i have enough "reach" I will be using a Nikon d90 (dx 1.5x crop) and a Nikon 80-200mm 2.8.
Do i need a TC and if so 1.4x or 2x?
Thanks,
Joe Jeram

I have never been a fan of the 2x converters as they seem to suck AF speed and IQ. However, Nikon might have different results.

If the Nikon TCs are anythink like the Canons (and I'm guessing they're pretty similar), I agree that you're better off sacrificing a little reach for the better image quality you're likely to get with the 1.4x.
