I was going through pictures from my trip to Florida last year -- here are a few of my favorites. I'd had the camera less than a year, so these aren't my best, either in shooting or in editing! Still, comments and constructive criticism are always welcome.

Good series of habitat shots. Sometimes it's nice to see where your birds actually live.

Since it looks like I forgot to mention it in the original post, the first three are from Big Cypress Swamp, and the rest were taken in the 10,000 Islands region, on a boat tour. If you click on any of the images to get through to my Flickr page, there are more from both places.

Barred Owl
Double crested Cormorant and Brown Pelicans

As far as I know, that's correct! I"m not sure about the heron being a juvenile, but you definitely got the species right. In Big Cypress, I was lucky enough to be there at the same time as a birder, so I got definite IDs on everything there. 8-)

Nice series Alex, well done. Looks very tropical, especailly the first with the pecker nest toa bromeliad.
