Its time for me to buy a new flash setup, I was going to get the vivitar 285s but i recently found out about the yongnuo 460, i use yongnuo triggers and i'm very happy with those.

from what I saw the yongnuo flashes are a little weaker than the vivitars but they are also a lot smaller.

I cant seem to find a good side-by-side comaprison, does anyone have experience with both of them?

I would get the YN-460 MkII if you are going to get them, they are a little more expensive, like $60 I think, but more powerful and they recycle faster. I had a YN-460 and it recycled like a dog so I got rid of it.

do a search here, somebody did a comparison with a light meter. The YN460 has enough power for my requirements but the II version has a higher guide number.
