Same here, haven't had any lenses I felt needed adjustment and know that you can't check for critical focus on even the 920000 pixel LCDs (at 10x it still isn't 100% on a 50D) so the 230000 pixel is fine for me.

I almost went 40D but liked some of the 50D features and thought it worth the extra money. Nothing wrong with the 40D at all and I would probably have been happy with it.

I had a 10D for a short time and the difference between it and the 50D is like night and day. You will be astounded at the change.

Ain't nothin but a thing.

Since your still using a 10D i would suggest upgrading the body. The 40D is a nice camera and the 50D is like a 40D but with a couple of nicely added features. Most importantly the higher rez screen, the MA, and a few other little ones. If you think those are worth the 50 instead of the 40 go for it. I would honestly rather get the 7D which cost around the same as the 70-200 IS.

isn't the iso on a 50d supposedly a lot better?

This is the mentality that Canon Marketing wants everyone to have and is also propagated almost daily in camera forums. If its newer, its better and will work better for me and allow me to take better photos......

I had planned on getting better glass all along but concerned about the age and capablities of my 10D have pushed me towards buying a 40-50D. Anyone know how to tell how many actuations (clicks) I have had on this 10D?
