Next play with my homemade snoot.

This is 4 shots stacked in CombineZP of a Japanesey-insect. Don't know what type of insect but it was about 5mm long.
Processed it through a contrast mask in the GIMP.

EXIF
ISO100
f/5.6
1/125s
EF100mm macro with Kenko extension tubes totalling 68mm
flash, manual, full power - through my giant snoot!

Boy am I loving this macro lark!!!!!
Hope to improve as we get more and more insects rousing from their winter sleep!
:D

Thanks for commenting.
Making the Giant Snoot, for me, was half the fun!!!
I've now added extra support-legs, which go from the snoot, just behind where the light exits, down onto the top of the lens hood.
It looks hilarious, and I'm sure the locals out-and-about with their tiny P&S cameras have NO IDEA whatsoever about my activities...which makes me laugh even more.
:D

And good news: the sun is coming out, so maybe I can dash out again and try to find something else to shoot, which means there'll be more from "The Snoot" soon....
